Baloubet du Rouet
Baloubet du Rouet – Stallion of Superlatives
Baloubet du Rouet, ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa, is one of the most dominant show jumping stallions in history. Renowned for his exceptional scope, reflexes, and energy, he achieved individual Olympic gold in 2004 and won three consecutive FEI World Cup finals, ranking world No. 1 for several years.
As a sire, Baloubet du Rouet has been equally influential, producing top-level horses competing up to 1.60m, including Chaman, Bubalu VDL, Palloubet d’Halong, and Sydney Une Prince. His sire, Galoubet A, also produced notable stallions like Quick Star and Taloubet, while his dam, Mesange du Rouet, was successful in sport and produced other international-level horses. Baloubet’s full sister, El Ira du Rouet, produced seven international horses, two at 1.60m.
Today, Baloubet du Rouet is the foundation of his own sire line, notably through his son Balou du Rouet, and is also recognized for producing excellent broodmares, such as the dam of Ben Maher’s top horse Explosion W.
