About
Mosito van het Hellehof is among the first approved sons of Elvis ter Putte and is widely regarded as one of Belgium’s most promising young sires. Currently competing under Brazilian rider Bernardo Alves, Mosito is consistently praised for his exceptional carefulness, scope, and rideability—qualities Alves ranks among the best he has experienced. These attributes were emphatically confirmed in 2022, when the pair claimed second place in the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix 5* of Knokke.
Sire
Mosito’s sire, Elvis ter Putte, combines the influential bloodlines of Diamant de Semilly, Darco, and Quidam de Revel. Ridden by Karline De Brabander, Elvis ter Putte achieved notable international success, including 6th place at the 6-Year-Old World Championship and 4th place at the Belgian 7-Year-Old Championship. His breeding influence has since surpassed his own competitive achievements. Elvis ter Putte continues to rise sharply in global sire rankings: according to HorseTelex, more than 200 offspring and 50 grandchildren competed internationally in the past year alone, placing him among the leading sires worldwide. He has also secured a position within the Top 30 of the WBFSH rankings.

Progeny
Mosito’s first crop (2016) exceeded all expectations, producing strong, athletic, well-moving horses with outstanding jumping technique and power. Their quality was decisively demonstrated in 2021, when an unprecedented nine Mosito offspring qualified for the final of the Belgian Championship for 5-year-old show jumpers. Since then, numerous progeny from this crop have progressed successfully to 1.40m and 1.45m levels. In addition, Mosito is already the sire of 12 approved sons, further underlining his significant breeding impact.
